AWARDS WITH A DIFFERENCE
Naveena Contest was conceptualized in December last year. It is an initiative to motivate and encourage women of Andhra Pradesh to share their experiences and stories with the public. It is a unique kind of a contest where awards are given to different women from Andhra Pradesh on March 8th 2008 on the occasion of International Women’s day.
The categories are:
* Courage
* Fighting for one's rights
* Fighting against any social evil

It is good that a program like Naveena is getting recognition.... Also that women from disadvantaged backgrounds have received their due share.
