Police following a complaint lodged by his second and third wifes, which created a sensation in the holy town of Tirumala on Sunday, arrested a man who married four times.
The man, Purushottam (35), a realtor from KR Puram in Bangalore, tied the knot for the fourth time with a 18 -year- old girl Durga Bhavani in Ahobila Mutt in Tirumala on Sunday. Within minutes after the marriage, filmy scenes were witnessed outside the marriage venue, when the third wife Suneetha came along with her two-year-old son and mother, pulled Purushottam out of the car and beat him up.
Bridegroom and his assistants in turn attacked his wives and realized later that a TV9 crew were present and recording his actions. They attacked TV9 team as well. TV9 personnel complained to the police who arrested Purushottam.
Later third wife told the media persons that Purushottam had cheated all the women for the sake of money. The woman alleged even the newly married fourth wife Durga Bhavani also gave him a dowry of Rs eight lakh.
